I really don't get the the anger, especially about the fact that 40% of the Celts starters came via the trade. First, if you are a fan of a team, you support that team. While it is more satisfying as a fan to see players who have spend their entire careers in a city, that is not the reality of professional sports today. Guys move via free agency and trade, and sometimes they even demand a trade. Big deal. It is a job to them, why shouldn't they move for a chance to be in a better situation whether it be financially or competitively? Would you advise a friend of yours to stay at his current job when their is a better situation in another city/state?

Second, do all those Yankees championships of the late 90's, and heck back to Babe Ruth, feel a little hollow. After all, Chuck Knoblauch, Scott Brosius, Tino Martinez, Darryl Strawberry, David Cone, David Wells, Roger Clemens, John Wettland, Mike Stanton, and Paul O'Neill were all career Yankees so that was different. No, I think some of those, or all, may have been acquired by trade or free agency, but I suppose baseball is different, right. So ask yourself if those Yankee titles feel like Yankee titles, or just a bunch of guys who won a title. Or is it different when you put on the pinstripes?

Heck, if it weren't for a trade, and the fact that he is a whiny bitch who wouldn't play for the Charger, the Giants wouldn't have had their Super Bowl MVP.

So fine, jump on Garnett for being a jackass, jump on the, and I'm guessing even this number is too big, .1% of fans(of any team) who riot and act like hooligans, but don't bitch about a team acquiring some of their best players because of trades or free agency because that is the state of the game in all sports.

BOSTON IS GOING TO CHANGE ITS NAME FROM BEANTOWN TO TITLETOWN. PATRIOTS 3 SUPERBOWLS, RED SOX 2 WORLD SERIES (WILL BE 3 BY OCTOBER 31,2008) AND 1 NBA TITLE. J- I hate to bring this up, but, THERE ARE IDIOTS WHO ROOT FOR EVERY TEAM. Case in point- Purdue students started fires and rioted...after the fricking women won the national championship. I had already graduated...and was surprised because I didn't even know that women's basketball was anything more than a club sport.

Garnett dropped about 100 points in my cool guy scale last night. That little sophomoric rant was one of the most ridiculous things that have ever been muttered in the English language. I believe he was referencing the Adidas "Impossible is Nothing" tagline as well...but botched it. Yeah- it was so impossible to believe a team comprised of three perennial All-Stars/future HOFers (that's 60% of the team) won the championship...that's what they're supposed to do. Honestly, the first move I always made in the EA NBA games as Boston was trade for KG to provide the low post presence, so I was ecstatic when they made the deal for real. I'm just happy that the only Boston team I like actually won.
