WE'RE BACK. Aneesh and Michael kick of the 2016-2017 season of the BS Basketball Beat talking about expectations for the incoming Purdue players, where Vince Edwards has gone, how incredible Caleb Swanigan is at the basketball, Carsen Edwards' fast start, Dakota Mathias' consistency, the shooting prowess of Carsen/Mathias/PJ Thompson/Ryan Cline, Isaac Haas disappearing after Cancun, and the return of Basil Smotherman.

All that, plus the losses against Villanova and Louisville, moral victories, whether this is Matt Painter's best Boilermaker offense, and the importance of the nonconference slate in the eyes of the committee (and the pressure on next weekend's game vs Notre Dame).
