It's been an indescribable week for this country, particularly in the Boston area and in West, Texas. As I type this, the city of Boston as well as a half dozen surrounding communities are on a true lockdown -- police believe a Boston Marathon bombing suspect is at large in the area and, as proved last night during various shootouts and the murder of an MIT police officer, these guys have no intention of going quietly.

We know we have readers in the Boston area and between BS staff and friends, we have many connections to people there. Regardless of that, though, we want all Americans to be secure and out of harm's way.
