Purdue plays, according to many, the lightest opponent on any BSD team's schedule to start the season- The Northern Colorado Bears.
Ex-Tiller/Boiler assistant Scott Downing is the head man for the Bears. According to the voice of the Bears, he's on a short leash since he's only coached the Bears to TWO wins during his time at Northern Colorado. I met Scott in an airport back when he coached under Tiller- Nice guy...That said, I never thought he was that great of an assistant coach. Turns out, he's doesn't seem to be too good of a head man either...So this season's important for him as to change the perception and save his job.
So, you've got a coach who's fighting for his job and a starting QB who began his collegiate career at the University of Florida...Might this be a good game? Here's what we think:
