Handsome Hour #104: End-of-Season Purdue Basketball Reflections

Boilerdowd, J Money, Michael, and Aneesh let the tourney loss breathe for a week, then got together to discuss Matt Painter's coaching tree (0:30), Purdue's "ceiling" at the Sweet 16 after the Kansas loss (3:00) and what that actually means, Painter's strength in roster construction and preparation but weakness with in-game adjustments (13:00), a deep March run being possible when you're on the 2-3-6-7 side of the regional (22:30), the importance of great guards in the tourney and if Purdue can recruit a dynamic guard (or if he's already on the roster) (29:30), Purdue not being able to have shooting *and* defense on the roster at the same time (42:45), Purdue's March seeding history (55:00) and discrepancy between regular season success and tourney mediocrity (57:00)

All that, plus rapid fire (1:02:30) about Purdue's possible NBA departures this season, whether Purdue's backcourt will have an outgoing transfer (and Carsen Edwards' possible huge role going forward), who wins the Big Ten in 2017 (and the B10 coaching changes this summer), and how great we feel that Caleb Swanigan and Co can look back on tangible successes after this really fun year.
