Purdue women's basketball had a rough outing Sunday against Southern Illinois, losing 64-61 in a game that dropped them to 1-3, their worst start as an NCAA program. Their lone win came Thursday, a 71-41 rout of USC Upstate. Purdue heads to Cancún this week for games against Wichita State, Northeastern, and Stanford.
WBB Struggles In Maine, Opens 0-2
Purdue women's basketball got off to a rough start at the Maine Tip Off Tournament last weekend, falling to the hosts and Villanova to start the season 0-2. The Boilers got double-figure scoring in both games from senior Ashley Morrissette and freshman Dominique Oden, and are back in West Lafayette for home games against SC Upstate and Southern Illinois this week.

Postseason play goes into full swing this week as both Purdue teams begin their quest for a title. The fifth-seeded men open against Arkansas-Little Rock at 4:30 PM Thursday on TBS, while the 11th-seeded women open against Oklahoma at 1:30 PM Saturday on WatchESPN (and possibly ESPN2).
WBB Bracket Complete: Boilers Squeak In At 11
The 2016 women's NCAA and WNIT brackets have been released: Purdue is an 11 seed and will open in Lexington on Saturday against 6-seed Oklahoma. Four other Big 14 teams made the NCAA, while six more are playing in the WNIT.
Purdue slips to the third-to-last team in after San Francisco stole a bid by winning the West Coast tournament. With major-conference tournaments completed, little movement is expected from here out.
