The honeymoon period for Gerad Parker's stint as Purdue interim head coach ended abruptly Saturday, as a 17-17 halftime tie mutated into a 62-24 loss. Saquon Barkley led the visitors with 277 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs, while David Blough threw for 281 yards and 2 TDs. The Boilers will visit Minnesota next week in conference play.
Purdue volleyball split their road trip west last weekend, ending up surprise losers 1-3 at Northwestern before edging Illinois 3-2 in Champaign. The Boilers are now unranked and are 13-8 overall, 3-7 in conference play.
