The BS All-Time Boilers Bracket -- Final Four

As this post is written, you have less than four hours left to vote in the Final Four of our all-time Boilermakers bracket. Hopefully, you’ve been paying attention and have voted to make your voice heard. The Final Four matchups, chosen by you, dear readers (or some Twitter bots) are as follows:

(1) John Wooden vs (1) Rick Mount

Wooden cruised to the Final Four without ever really being challenged, so I know I personally expected to see him on the podium when all this is over. However, Rick Mount, perhaps buoyed by his hard-fought victory over Carsen Edwards in the Elite Eight (sorry about that happening again, Boogie) is pulling off what looks like an easy victory over the Wizard. Maybe he just didn’t come to play today.

(1) Glenn Robinson vs (2) JaJuan Johnson

It’s not often a 2 seed making the Final Four is an upset, but JJ getting here sort of feels like that. If you’d told me one of the 2s was going to be here, I’d have placed all my money on Carsen. Yet JJ pulled off the win over Dave Schelhase in the Elite Eight and is now being absolutely pounded by Big Dog in the Final Four. Dog, for his part, dispatched of Robbie Hummell in the Sweet 16 and then Joe Barry Carroll in the Elite Eight, so he has earned his way here for sure.
